Better coverage within existing rigging limits
Xavier University’s Cintas Center needed improved coverage without adding rigging points or substantial weight. Anthony James Partners and ICB Audio & Video selected a replacement system built around SH96 loudspeakers, with SH64 units used at the ends of the bowl and six TH115 subwoofers. The new clusters reused the available suspension locations. The project shows how acoustic and structural constraints can shape the same decision.
Design considerations
For arena refurbishments, establish allowable loads and usable suspension positions early. A coverage proposal that depends on unavailable rigging is not a workable installation plan.
