University of North Florida set out to renew UNF Arena—the home of the Ospreys’ basketball and volleyball teams—and create a stronger experience around the game for supporters and student athletes.
The brief
The arena upgrade combined sound, lighting and visual improvements. The audio system needed to build atmosphere across the bowl while keeping announcements, music and game presentation clear in a large reflective space.
The system
CCS Southeast used Danley SH96 loudspeakers for the main bowl, OS80 loudspeakers to fill the upper seating and four TH118 subwoofers for low-frequency support. The controlled pattern of the Synergy Horn sources keeps more energy on the audience and less on the arena surfaces.
The result
The completed renovation supports a more energetic and consistent fan experience across the venue. It is a useful example for Australian indoor sporting facilities where intelligibility, impact and architectural constraints need to be solved together.
