A staged upgrade at Bryant-Denny Stadium
The University of Alabama’s Bryant-Denny Stadium demonstrates a large distributed Danley installation serving more than 100,000 spectators. Following an initial installation in 2014, the lower bowl received 24 J7-95 loudspeakers and 12 BC218 subwoofers in 2021. The Walk of Champions also gained a J7-95 and two BC215 subwoofers. The case study describes an upgrade carried out across distinct spectator areas rather than a single uniform loudspeaker layout.
Design considerations
Large venues can be renewed in stages. Define how a new zone will integrate with existing timing, processing and operational controls before selecting equipment for that zone.
