A cotton mill becomes a contemporary sanctuary
The Jefferson Church returned to the Georgia cotton mill where its congregation began. The converted building brought concrete floors, hard walls and a demanding acoustic environment. dB Integrations installed three J7-95 mains, SH95HO and SH95 fills, and four BC215 subwoofers. Danley amplification and a DNA-SC48 processor complete the documented system. The design concentrates reinforcement on the congregation within the reused industrial space.
Design considerations
Warehouse conversions need coverage planning early, before loudspeaker positions become fixed by lighting, services or structural work. Main and fill loudspeakers should be considered together rather than added separately after installation.
