Keeping stadium sound near the spectators
Stonehill College’s W.B. Mason Stadium sits close to housing and faces the campus library. Its previous sound spilled into spaces intended for study. East West Associates installed a Danley system chosen for directional control, helping keep game presentation within the sporting environment. The portfolio identifies SBH20, SHMini and THMINI15 among the products used, and notes further Danley installations around the campus.
Design considerations
For suburban sports grounds, neighbouring homes and classrooms belong in the design brief. Compare off-site spill as well as the audience sound level; louder equipment alone does not solve coverage problems.
