Lost & Found

A Charlotte neighbourhood bar that grew into a day-and-night venue, using a compact Danley system to create a high-quality club experience.

Lost & Found is an elevated neighbourhood bar and lounge in Charlotte, North Carolina. Owner Orlando Botero designed it as a place that could move naturally from after-work drinks and live music into an upbeat late-night dance floor.

The brief

The venue began as a neighbourhood-bar concept, then developed into both a night club and day club. That change made audio quality central to the experience: the system needed to feel powerful and immersive without filling the room with visible loudspeakers.

The system

Botero had previously worked with Scott Carneval at Precision Audio and experienced Danley Sound Labs at Sip in downtown Charlotte. That familiarity gave the team confidence that a small number of coherent, high-output sources could cover the venue more cleanly than a conventional multi-box approach.

“You constantly see people looking around in the club trying to find where the other 12 speakers are — but we didn’t need that many.”

The result

The finished system supports the venue’s shift from relaxed lounge to dance floor while preserving a clean visual environment. It is a useful hospitality example of designing for the experience first, then choosing the minimum number of well-controlled sources needed to deliver it.
