Long-distance coverage at Brigham Young University
Brigham Young University’s LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo, Utah, is a Danley long-throw reference. The documented system combines J1-94 Jericho loudspeakers with TH812 subwoofers and SH50 and SH96 loudspeakers. The selection brings large-format mains and supporting coverage into one stadium system. This is a historical project summary; exact equipment for a new venue should follow current modelling and documentation.
Design considerations
Large outdoor venues need a plan for the full distance range, from the furthest stand to seating close to the source. Long-throw capability does not remove the need for carefully placed fills.
