A low-ceiling worship space in Hanoi
Hanoi International Fellowship worked with Soundsmith Solutions and Danley on a system for a reverberant room with a low ceiling. SM80 and SHMicro loudspeakers with THMINI subwoofers form the documented installation. The shallow depth of the SM80 helped with mounting, while coverage control was important to managing the room’s constraints. The project is a useful Asia-Pacific example of working within an existing building.
Design considerations
Low ceilings restrict both loudspeaker position and vertical coverage. Assess mounting depth, listener proximity and reflected energy together, rather than selecting a loudspeaker only by its output rating.
