Speech and programme audio in a senate chamber
Florida’s State Senate Chamber in Tallahassee uses a Danley system installed by Music Masters. An SH46, mounted in a rotated orientation, serves the centre channel; SM60F loudspeakers cover left and right, and SM100 units provide side and rear coverage. A TH118 supplies low-frequency support from the projection room. The project addresses an unusually shaped room with several distinct listening areas.
Design considerations
Council chambers and civic rooms need coverage that follows seating geometry. Confirm horn orientation and sightlines, and assess microphone behaviour and speech intelligibility alongside any audiovisual playback requirements.
