Separate roles for congregation and choir
Fairview Baptist Church in Greer, South Carolina, uses two SH50 loudspeakers for main-floor and balcony coverage. Three SM100 units cover side and centre fill positions, with two more serving choir foldback. Two TH112 subwoofers supply low-frequency reinforcement. The installation gives the congregation and performers distinct coverage functions rather than asking one loudspeaker position to do every job.
Design considerations
Church design should distinguish audience reinforcement from choir and musician monitoring. Coverage, microphone pickup and the acoustic relationship between stage and congregation need to be assessed together.
