Scoreboard coverage at East Carolina University
East Carolina University upgraded Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium in Greenville, North Carolina, with a Danley system designed around coverage from the scoreboard. The project included the first US deployment of J8-94 loudspeakers. Its documented product selection also includes J7-95, SH62 and SH46 loudspeakers with BC415 subwoofers. Precision Audio’s approach combined long-distance coverage with support for nearer seating and the field.
Design considerations
A scoreboard system can simplify source locations, but the closest seats need just as much attention as the far end. Modelling should include near fills, mounting space, service access and sightlines.
