Clearer announcements in a school gym
Carrollton High School in Georgia addressed indistinct gymnasium announcements with a Danley system specified by Performa. SM96 loudspeakers cover home and visitor bleachers, supported by THMINI subwoofers and SHMini delays for upper seating. Scene-based control supports the room’s different uses, and an RF feed serves hearing assistance. The project combines coverage design with the practical needs of school operators.
Design considerations
A school gym needs simple controls as well as intelligible sound. Plan presets for sport, assemblies and music, and include hearing-assistance requirements in the system brief.
