Buford High School Performing Arts Center

A high-performing school theatre using a coherent main system, downfills, delays and stage monitoring to serve varied performance programmes.

Buford High School in Georgia is home to award-winning theatre, choral and music programmes. Its Performing Arts Center needed an audio system capable of serving that range without sacrificing nuance or clarity.

The brief

A school theatre may move from spoken performance to choir, musical theatre and amplified events in the same week. Coverage has to remain consistent across the floor and balcony, while stage monitoring must support performers without overwhelming the room.

The system

Danley SH96 loudspeakers form the mains, with SH95 systems used as downfills. SM100 loudspeakers cover delays and balcony positions, and compact SM monitors support performers on stage.

The result

The system gives the venue a coherent foundation that can adapt to varied programme material. It is directly relevant to Australian schools and performing-arts facilities where speech, music and production flexibility share the same room.
