Wireless field audio for Blue Devils B
Blue Devils B used three OS80 loudspeakers, a TH121 subwoofer and Danley’s Wireless Link System during its 2026 drum corps season. The Concord, California ensemble won the DCI Open Class championship that August. The audio arrangement carried soloists and front-ensemble detail to spectators while reducing the need for signal cables across the performance field. It is a touring example of combining portable reinforcement with a wireless signal path.
Design considerations
For outdoor performances, assess the signal path alongside audience coverage. Wireless links still need site-specific RF planning, suitable power and a practical fallback; they do not remove those design responsibilities.
