Compact loudspeakers selected around the listening area
Danley’s 2023 launch of the SBH20FF and SH110 addressed two different needs. The SBH20FF combines a flat-front enclosure with a broad 150-degree horizontal and narrow 20-degree vertical pattern, intended to limit unnecessary vertical coverage in challenging rooms. The SH110 is a low-profile Synergy Horn loudspeaker developed for front-fill duties, with 110-degree coverage and dual 8-inch low-frequency drivers.
Design considerations
A front fill and a loudspeaker for a reflective hall can both be compact while requiring different dispersion. Begin with the listening area, available mounting height and surfaces that should receive less energy. Compare the current product specifications and integrate the chosen loudspeaker with the main system’s level, timing and tonal balance.
