OS-PWR: amplification near the outdoor loudspeaker

Outdoor amplifier placement and signal planning

Outdoor amplifier placement and signal planning

Danley’s 2025 OS-PWR announcement describes a weatherized amplifier platform for pole or wall mounting near outdoor loudspeakers. Its enclosure includes rain-shrouded vents, a gasketed door and sealed cable entries, with a published NEMA 3R/IP24 rating. OS-PWR-2 and OS-PWR-3 configurations provide amplification and DSP, and an optional receiver supports Danley’s Wireless Link System.

Design considerations

Moving amplification closer to the loudspeaker changes the infrastructure plan. Check mains power, ventilation, environmental exposure, signal delivery and safe service access at each mounting position. An enclosure rating should be assessed against the actual site conditions; it does not make every outdoor location suitable. Confirm the required regional power configuration during selection.
