Example Use

Consider a high school football stadium where turf was just installed. Running additional conduit from the press box to the visitor’s box could cause significant cost over runs on the project. However, with the Danley Wireless Link System, audio could be sent to the visitor’s side wirelessly. No trenched conduit path required saving thousands in construction costs. The system can also be used to distribute audio to parking lots, arenas, and a variety of other applications where running cabling is too costly or not practical to the application.

The Wireless Link System (WLS) from Danley Sound Labs provides clean, reliable audio transmission without the cabling. With robust range, rock-solid signal stability, and professional-grade uncompressed audio, WLS is built to save time, money, and make installation easier.

The Transmitter

The WLS transmitter is rack-mounted and offered in two versions: the WLS-TX1 which can send one (1) mono balanced signal to up to four (4) receivers or the WLS-TX4 which can send four (4) mono balanced audio signals to up to sixteen (16) receivers.

The Receiver

Worried about interference? Don’t be. As long as the antennas for the transmitter and receiver are set at line of sight, the system aligns perfectly.

Using dynamic RF channel allocation, WLS constantly scans the RF spectrum, dynamically creating a map of fixed RF sources in-band and excluding these channels from use. By hopping frequencies, WLS ensures your signal remains clear – even in environments crowded with Wi-Fi. The Wireless Link System WLS-RX1 rack-mount receiver can receive one (1) mono audio signal from a Wireless Link System transmitter and output one (1) mono balanced audio signal.

OS-PWR Enabled

Danley’s new OS-PWR amplifier, a weatherized outdoor power amplifier, is also Wireless Link System compatible. Engineered for the elements, the OS-PWR amplifier is housed in a UV-resistant, fiberglass-reinforced polyester enclosuer with a fully gasketed door, drip rail, and NEMA-3R/IP24 rating.

Both versions, the OS-PWR-2 and OS-PWR-3 can be outfitted with Danley’s Wireless Link System to connect your loudspeakers from the press box to the visitors’ side with no audio cabling required.

FAQ

Danley’s Wireless Link System can be deployed in situations where conduit and audio cabling cannot be deployed; i.e. getting an audio signal from a home side field press box to the visitor side pole-mounted speakers, Distributed Audio around large venues like Theme Parks or Delay Speaker arrays for Large Festivals.

Yes. The radio technology operates in the 2.4 GHz ISM frequency band, has proprietary frequency hopping features, and will deliver wireless audio with low latency and robust wireless audio connections at extraordinary range.

No. WLS scans the spectrum for existing frequencies in use and dynamically selects open frequencies for optimum performance.

Most in-ear monitoring systems are built with UHF frequencies. Those that are built for 2.4 GHz ISM frequencies do not have proprietary frequency hopping technology built into the WLS system.

No. This is by design as it would disable the proprietary frequency hopping technology that keeps transmission interruption free.

While Wi-Fi is susceptible to hacking and Bluetooth® to unwanted pairings, WLS employs proprietary encryption that requires a specific ID that prevents unwanted access on a fully private “point in time” wireless network.

SMA is the industry-standard low-insertion loss connector for high frequency RF operation.
